Self-propelled ski lift

Jindabyne, NSW, AU

Having developed a bit of confidence learning the fine art of falling down hills with spikes attached to our feet and discovering how much we actually kinda liked trudging over frozen tundra…

who knew, right?

…we decided it would make a lot more sense just to drag our snowbaords to the top of a mountain and slide down that way.

Cue the Buzz Lightyear pose

Well, Greg mostly decided on his own and convinced Tiffany that we would start with the “small” mountain but that’s really just semantics…

and like we said, there were only the 4 ski lifts and three quarters of them involved bungee chords and boat anchors so really what’s worse?  Walking up a hill or being slingshotted up a ski slope with a giant bar between your legs?

Besides, this way we got a workout in.

Having experienced both in the southern hemisphere, hikes and falling down mountains are better when the water falling from the sky is already frozen.
