So then we worked for a few months at an Australian ski resort.

Disembodied audience voice: Wait, it snows in Australia?

Us: Yes, yes it does.

Disembodied audience voice: Really?

Us: Yeah, something like 0.1 percent of the continent gets snow for, maybe, 3 months a year.

Disembodied audience voice: Naw, you’re messing with us.

Us: Dude, totally true.  May we present exhibit “A”:

So why did we take a job working at a ski resort for the Australian winter?

3 reasons –

1) Tiffany didn’t have to go outside except when she wanted to

2)

Life achievement unlocked – ski bum!

But most importantly…

3) Seriously!? Who knew it snows in the land of the kangaroo?

Blizzards down under are pretty wild, but how do they compare to tornadoes on the ocean?

About the authors

Greg and Tiffany are traveling around the world on sailing yachts and keep a video blog of their (mis)adventures.  If sailing to Tahiti on a 44 ft sailboat, 3-day delays for wine tastings, getting pooped on by seagulls, opening coconuts with dull machetes, sailing past tornadoes and ukulele Christmas carols are for you, then check them out at www.CoastGuardCouple.com!
